Lines 4.0 – Box Packaging

Imagine a simple manual packaging line, where one or more operators are engaged in a repetitive series of operations

  • fill the boxes with products (maybe different boxes with different products),
  • close with adhesive tape,
  • weigh the boxes,
  • stick the label with all the information needed for shipping,
  • pass the boxes under a strapping machine to seal them permanently,
  • pile up the boxes somewhere to be shipped later.

If you think about it, a series of operations of this type inevitably brings with it many downtime. If we then add the possibility that an operator gets distracted for any reason, we must also consider a certain error rate in operations.

HOW MANY OPERATORS DO YOU NEED?

HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE?

Everything can be improved and we did it with this one AUTOMATIC LINE 4.0.

  • The operator fills boxes of different sizes with the necessary products and applies a barcode to the box.
  • the box is pushed towards the taping machine… and from this moment until the end of the cycle everything is automatic.
industry 4.0 line

Investing in technology makes life easier…and safer, too.

Here is the sequence of operations of which you will never have to worry again

The box passes on rollers in which a scale is integrated which reads the weight.

The taping machine automatically sizes itself to the box and the closes with duct tape.

A photo of the box is taken and stored in the management system.

A barcode reader detects the type of canned product and matches it with the scale information, communicating with the management system of the company that provides all the data needed to produce the label.

The printer receives all the data from the management system (customer data, product characteristics, number of packages per order, package weight, etc. and any other necessary information) and Print the label which is glued to the box as it passes.

An automatic strapping machine takes care of seal with strapping the neck that will arrive at the end of the line through the motorized rollers.

A pusher sends the boxes to the accumulation part from where they will be taken to be then sent.
